多肉生长的天堂：南加州养肉生活小记

2017年初加拿大学校毕业后，有机会来到了加州工作。阳光充沛、昼夜温差大的加州是一个多肉生长的天堂，我也在这里爱上了多肉。我们全家是2月份到达圣地亚哥的。虽然2月份的圣地亚哥正值阴雨天气，但从冰封雪地的加拿大踏上温暖的圣地亚哥时，我们心里非常激动。很快我就被路边疯狂生长的多肉深深吸引住了。许多当地人家都会在前院种点花草和多肉。于是拍路边“相貌怪异”的多肉植物，也成了我这个‘手机党’的一个小爱好了。以下3张图都是拍自路边的小多肉（很抱歉，很多多肉都叫不上名字来）。

我自己也种了不少多肉。上图是我在阳台上晒太阳的时候，顺便拍下几颗自己种的多肉(时间：2020年2月)。图中的多肉1和2，当时买来的时候估计才7-8cm高（2017年下半年买的），现在已经差不多60-70cm高了，结了很多小分支，浑身都是刺。

沐浴阳光的肉肉。这个多肉不断地往上窜，并不断地脱掉叶肉，所以你看到的是光秃秃的杆子。

看，这个唐印长到很高，跟我人差不多高了。后来我把它“砍头了”，就长成了上面第五张图中的样子了。

大概十来天后，它就探出了头，含着满满的花苞头。

一般多肉长大一些后，我都会移植在比较大的盆子里，不希望用小盆子限制它的生长。花盆大了也有意想不到的效果…这不，你瞧下面。
去年，有一对北美哀鸠来我家前院台的一个多肉大花盆里生了两颗蛋，大概15天后，两颗小蛋成功孵出了两只幼鸟。

小baby birds长大了。突然有一天回家发现，鸟妈妈带着两个鸟宝宝飞出花盆了，停在了台上。当天傍晚回家，就发现花盆空空如也，也看不到鸟儿了。心里一阵失落……

前不久小阳台上还吸引来了一只红尾雏鹰驻足。没等一会儿，就见它飞向草丛，捕食一只小松鼠。

借助望远镜在阳台外拍的加州小鹌鹑(California quail)，小鹌鹑喜欢群居，几个到十几，甚至几十个一起聚集。

南加州雨后，一般大蜗牛和鼻涕虫就会全面出动，爬得到处都是。这只鼻涕虫很悲剧，不小心爬到了仙人球上，它的肚子被仙人掌的刺给扎破了，后来它还是死掉了，很可怜！

2018年时候参加过当地的一个多肉植物展，有幸看到了各种奇异的多肉植物。
这个多肉感觉就像一小堆原石头粘一起似的。

小区里别人种的枇杷快熟了，很多都变黄了。不知道这叫什么果子，是番石榴么？个人总结：圣地亚哥环境气候宜人，全年气候比较稳定，很适合养多肉植物。希望我的这个爱好持续下去，热爱自然，热爱生活。最后与大家分享下加州美丽的海岸线。
